What are block puzzle games?
In block puzzle games you place blocks of different shapes onto a grid. When a row or column is completely filled it clears and opens up space. If you do not place the blocks carefully, the board fills up fast, so every move deserves a moment of thought. The rules are very simple, but playing well takes planning.
How gameplay works
Usually three or more blocks are offered at the bottom of the screen. You drag them onto the grid. Some games let you rotate the blocks. Every line you clear earns points, and clearing several lines at once earns a multiplier. The game ends when you have no valid move left, which turns it into a survival and score race.
Tips for getting ahead
Placing large blocks in corners and along edges leaves flexible space in the middle. Try not to leave single-cell gaps between blocks, because they are hard to fill. Plan with the next three blocks in mind, not just the first. If you cannot clear a line, at least avoid leaving it half-finished. Staying calm matters a lot; panic is followed by placement mistakes.
