About this game
Bubble.io is a bright, fast bubble battle set in a giant bathtub. You are a soap bubble. You glide around the tub and gobble floating foam to swell up. The bigger you get, the more air you hold, and once you are noticeably bigger than another bubble you can swallow it whole and keep most of its size. The same goes for you: anyone much bigger than you can pop you in one gulp, so keep an eye on the size of everyone around you.
Stay away from the grumpy red sea urchins drifting through the tub. Touch one and you lose a chunk of your air, so steer around them or lead your rivals into them.
The rule is simple: steer, eat and pop. Hold puff for a short speed burst to escape a bigger bubble or catch a smaller one, at the cost of some air. The floaty, bouncy movement makes every chase feel different. A live leaderboard shows the biggest bubbles and a mini map shows the whole tub. Friendly bots fill the arena, so a round is never empty.
You earn coins on every run and spend them in the Bubble Shop on hats and bubble skins like Rainbow, Swirl, Galaxy and Gold. After being popped you can watch an optional ad to float back, double your coins or get bonus coins.
Tips
- At the start, grow safely by eating foam in the outer areas.
- Near the red urchins, avoid colliding with big bubbles; an urchin shrinks you.
- Use puff only when needed; if your air runs low you shrink.
- When approaching someone bigger, use the urchins around you to draw them in.
On a computer you steer with the mouse (the farther the cursor, the faster you go) or WASD and puff with the left button or Space; on a phone in landscape you use the on-screen stick and the PUFF button.
How to play
Eat the foam dots to grow bigger. If you are clearly bigger than another bubble, touch it to pop and swallow it. Bigger bubbles can pop you too, so run from them. Avoid the red spiky urchins, they take a chunk of your size. Hold puff to speed up, but it burns some of your air. When you are popped you can watch an ad to float back or double your coins. Spend coins in the Bubble Shop on hats and skins.
Controls
Desktop: move the mouse to steer (the farther the cursor, the faster you go), hold the left mouse button or Space to puff, WASD or arrow keys also steer, Esc opens the menu without pausing the game.
Mobile: drag the on-screen stick to steer, hold the PUFF button for a speed burst. Play in landscape.
