About this game
Donut Sort is a calm puzzle from the color-sorting family. The board has sticks with donuts of different flavors stacked on them. Tapping a stick lifts the top donuts and tapping another stick drops them there. The rule is that a donut can only go on top of the same flavor or onto an empty stick. The goal is to collect each flavor on its own stick.
The game starts with easy puzzles and grows harder over 100 levels. Each stick holds 4 donuts; after level 50 the sticks carry 5. Some donuts carry a "?" mark; their flavor shows only once the donut above is moved away, so you have to plan around the unknown. If you get stuck, Undo, a Hint that shows the best move or an Extra Stick can help; finishing a level without help earns 3 stars.
You earn stars and coins and can unlock new sticks, donut flavors and rooms in the shop. There is no time limit, so you can think as long as you like.
Tips
- Before each move, look at the top color of every stick; most solutions begin there.
- Do not fill the empty stick at the first chance; keep it for when you are stuck.
- Make the stick that already holds the most donuts of one color your target stick.
- Play the moves that uncover mystery donuts early.
You play by tapping on a phone or tablet and by clicking or using keys 1-9 on a computer; Ctrl+Z undoes, H gives a hint and R restarts. For fans of water sort and ball sort games, it is a sweet version of the same logic.
How to play
Tap a stick to pick up its top donuts, then tap another stick to drop them there. A donut can only go on top of the same flavor or onto an empty stick, and each stick holds 4 donuts (5 from level 50). Sort every flavor onto its own stick to win. Mystery “?” donuts show their flavor when the donut above them is moved away. Use Undo, Hint or an Extra Stick if you get stuck, and finish without help to earn 3 stars.
