About this game
Hexanaut.io is a 3D territory-capture game played on hexagonal tiles. You enclose area by looping your tail around tiles: draw a tail outside your territory and, when you return to your own land, the hexagons left inside become yours. You can compete on a server of up to 45 players or team up in Duo mode.
The tension starts with the tail. If you cut a rival's tail you eliminate them, but if you collide head-on when you are not inside your own safe territory, you can be eliminated too. Totems on the map give bonuses such as speed, spreading, spying or teleporting. If you own 20 percent of the map you become King, and to win you must hold the lead through a 3-minute countdown.
Tips
- At first, grow with small loops near your own territory.
- While your tail is open, keep track of the direction of nearby rivals.
- If you travel far to take a totem, keep your way back in mind.
- Once you are King, everyone will come for you, so switch to defense.
You steer with the mouse or W/A/S/D and the arrow keys; a click or Space activates a PRO item. On mobile you use the on-screen joystick and item button. It opens in the browser with no download and mixes strategy and reflexes in short rounds.
How to play
