About this game

Idol Run is a runner in which you play a rising pop idol. You run down a floating stage road, collect fans and build your crowd before the big concert.

Fan groups wait along the road, and when you run into one they join your idol. Fan gates change your crowd with plus, minus, times and divide values, so pick the good side. Haters hold up BOO signs and make you lose fans, and obstacles such as soda spills, ketchup stands, foam parties, glitter cannons, paparazzi flashes and rolling speakers get in the way. At the style gates you choose a top, skirt, shoes, hair or accessory, and pieces that match the level's theme score more with the jury. Two rivals, Mia and Zoe, collect fans on the same road, so you race them to the finish.

Tips: At fan gates, prefer the side with plus and times values. At style gates pick the piece that fits the level's theme. Avoid haters and obstacles, because they cost you fans. You can raise your starting crowd and income with coins.

Each level ends on a concert stage where the judges hold up cards, your fans cheer and your final score decides your coin reward. The game has five worlds: Ocean, Sky, Desert, Miami and Candy, each with giant props such as a rubber duck, hot air balloons, cacti, flamingos and lollipops. On a phone you hold and drag a finger; on desktop you steer with the mouse, the arrow keys or A and D.

How to play

Hold and drag left or right to move your idol along the road. Run through fan groups and the good side of fan gates to build your crowd. Avoid haters and obstacles. Choose outfit pieces at the style gates that match the level's theme. Reach the concert stage at the end to get scored by the judges and earn coins. Spend coins in the shop and upgrade your starting crowd and income.
