About this game
Lumira is a calm, crossword-style word game. You connect letters on a wheel to spell words, and every correct word drops into the crossword grid. Fill the whole grid to clear the level and move on to the next.
Each level gives you a handful of letters and an empty grid. You drag across the letters to form words of different lengths. Valid words snap into place; extra valid words that are not on the grid count as bonus words and earn coins. If you are stuck, you can shuffle the letters to see them from a new angle or spend coins on a hint that reveals a letter.
There are 750 hand-crafted levels; they start easy and gradually bring in longer words and bigger grids. Along the way you pass through 15 illustrated regions, from twilight gardens and starlit deserts to tropical coasts, the summit of Everest, the Amazon rainforest and enchanted valleys. Levels take a few minutes, which suits a coffee break, a commute or winding down before bed. There is a daily puzzle, daily quests and a free daily wheel spin. You can solve the same puzzle together with a friend using a room code, or enter a 1-on-1 word race. It can be played in 29 languages.
Tips
- Find the short words first; they reveal letters of the long ones.
- When you are stuck, shuffle the letters; a new order often shows the word.
- Try words that are not in the grid too; they earn bonus coins.
- Choose your language at the start; it matters which one you will play in.
- You click and drag with a mouse or swipe with a finger on a phone; releasing submits the word.
How to play
Pick your language and press Play. Drag across the letters on the wheel to spell a word, then release. Correct words fill the crossword grid. Find every word in the grid to complete the level. Extra words earn bonus coins. Use Shuffle to rearrange the letters, or a Hint to reveal a letter when you're stuck. Clear levels to unlock new regions.
