Minesweeper Kovo
Classic minesweeper with three difficulties, flag mode and best times. Clear the field without hitting a mine.
About this game
Minesweeper Kovo is a clean, modern version of the classic minesweeper puzzle. You try to open every safe tile on the board without stepping on a hidden mine. Each number tells you how many mines are among the eight tiles around it; you work out where the mines are by reasoning from those numbers.
There are three difficulty levels: Easy, Medium and Hard. The board is sized to fit both phone and computer screens. Your first move is always safe, empty areas open on their own, and if you tap a number whose surrounding flags are all placed, its neighboring tiles open for you. Your best time for each difficulty is stored on your device.
Tips
- Start from corners and edges; they have fewer neighbors, so deductions are easier.
- If a number has exactly that many closed tiles around it, every one of them is a mine.
- If a number's mines are already flagged, you can safely open its remaining neighbors.
- When you are unsure, try making progress in another area instead of guessing.
On a computer a left click opens and a right click places a flag; F toggles flag mode and R starts a new game. On a phone you tap to open, press and hold to flag, or use the Flag button to switch to flag mode. It is pure logic with little luck, which makes it a good break game for people who like to exercise their minds.
How to play
Open tiles to reveal numbers. Each number shows how many mines are in the eight tiles around it. Flag the tiles you think hide mines and open all the safe tiles to win. Your first move is always safe.
