Superhex.io
Draw shapes to conquer territory and connect them back to your base — don't let a rival cut your trail in this free io game.
About this game
Superhex.io is a .io game built around capturing territory. You start on the map with a small patch. When you step outside it, you leave a trail behind you; connect that trail back to your own territory and the area you enclosed becomes yours. The bigger the area you loop, the more territory you gain.
The tension is in the trail. If someone touches it while you are outside, you are eliminated at once. The further you go, the bigger the reward, and the bigger the risk; drawing a large loop with a rival nearby is dangerous. If you cut a rival's exposed trail, it is you who eliminates them.
Tips
- At first, draw small loops close to your own territory and grow safely.
- While extending your trail, keep an eye on where nearby rivals are.
- Expanding with several small moves is safer than grabbing a huge area in one go.
- Watch for the moment a rival's trail is open; a quick cut there can turn a game around.
The controls are very simple: steer your character with the mouse or the arrow keys. It opens in the browser, with no download or sign-up. Rounds are short and the competition is constant, so trying again is easy; it takes strategy and patience, but reflexes count too.
How to play
Move outside your territory to draw a trail, then return to your existing territory to capture the enclosed area. Avoid letting any opponent cross your trail while you're extending it, or you'll be eliminated instantly.
