About this game
Tideline is a complete 3D fishing game that runs in your browser. You aim, hold to charge your cast and release to throw the line. When the bobber plunges you hook the fish, then win the tension fight by reeling in bursts and letting go during the red surges, or the line snaps.
Every catch earns cash and experience. You sell fish at the shop and upgrade your rod, reel, line and bait. You unlock new places such as River Bend, the Coastal Pier and the Deep Ocean, and try to fill all 21 species in your journal. The time of day and the weather change which fish bite: salmon rise at dawn and swordfish only appear at night. Your progress is saved on your device automatically.
Tips: The length of your hold sets the cast power, so charge longer for distant spots. Click the moment the bobber plunges; waiting too long can lose the fish. During the fight, keep reeling and let go when a red surge hits. If a species never shows up, try a different time of day or different weather.
On desktop you aim with the mouse, cast with Left Click or Space, open the shop with B, the map with M and the journal with J, and Esc pauses. On a phone you slide a finger to aim, press and hold to charge and reel, and use the on-screen buttons.
How to play
Aim, hold to charge your cast and release to throw the line. When the bobber plunges, tap or click right away to hook the fish, then hold to reel and let go during the red surges so the line does not snap. Sell your fish, upgrade your gear and complete the journal.
Controls
Desktop: move the mouse to aim, hold Left Click or Space to charge a cast and release to cast, click to hook a bite, hold Click to reel, R to retrieve, B for the shop, M for the map, J for the journal, Esc to pause. Mobile: slide your finger to aim, press and hold to charge and reel, tap to hook the fish, and use the on-screen buttons for Map, Shop, Journal and Pause.
