About this game
YoHoHo.io is a pirate-themed battle royale. You are marooned on a shrinking island with other players and try to be the last pirate standing by collecting loot and fighting. The whole game is played in the browser; if you like, you can create a free account to keep your stats and progress.
Every match follows the same shape: you explore the island, gather loot and either fight other pirates or avoid them. As the island shrinks, players are pushed closer together, so fights become more frequent in the second half of a match. Your kills, the loot you collected and your survival time are tracked across matches.
Tips
- In the first minutes, gather loot instead of looking for fights.
- Stay away from the edges of the shrinking island and keep a position near the middle.
- Before picking a fight, check how much loot your opponent is carrying.
- Steady survival is often worth more than a lot of kills.
On a computer you move with the mouse and click to attack, or walk with WASD or the arrow keys and attack with Space. Although the theme is combat, the look is cartoonish; still, because you interact with other players, adult supervision is recommended when children play.
